GENPACT is Wachovia!

My, my... What do you know... GENPACT IS Wachovia! Well, Call Center Blogger actually knew about GENPACT was handling some business processes for Wachovia before but this is the first time I have truly confirmed that they will also be handling the call center for them. How did Call Center Blogger know? Well, as a matter of fact, I received a call just a few minutes ago from GENPACT themselves asking if I am interested in pursuing a career with them! And residing just a stone's throw away from NorthCyberGate Center, I nonchalantly said I could be... hehehe.

The call center HR person actually did not divulge any information at the onset of our conversation. But after I had her finish her all questions. I asked her to tell me if the call center account was an existing one or or one being pioneer. The call center HR person said they are considering me to be part of their Core Team.

Then one more time, I asked ( as if baiting ), if they are looking for people for Wachovia. The person replied: How did you know? I told her that I am always updated with everything call center! Even before they had a go signal to hire, I know already. Hehehe! So those who are still interested on Wachovia, a piece of advice, don't wait for a call from GENPACT. Their screening processes are very stringent. It is very unlikely you can get a call from them directly unless you were referred by someone else. My second advice is actually more important. Look for the companies that does the recruitment for GENPACT. They can get you there easier. They have ways of making your image a little bit better. hehehe! Let me give you a head start here! The ones that Call Center Blogger knows conducting this for GENPACT are:

1. Jobstreet Select ( They hired the pioneer team for GENPACT )
2. Viventis Executive Search ( They do the mid-level manager recruitment for GENPACT )
3. 3i ( They were recruit ing for GENPACT )

Call Center Blogger himself got referred to GENPACT through Viventis!

Good luck To All! :D

I am currently an operations manager for one of the bigger call centers in Makati and I am very interested in Wachovia. I have a problem though, I am not sure if they will accept someone who only has an Associate Degree (2 yr course). I was never able to pursue my studies further due to financial reasons. I still plan to pursue it though, now that I think I can handle it financially. Now I just need to find the time as I have been so busy at work. What is your advice? I reached this level at my current company and they didn't mind that I don't have a Bachelor's degree but somehow I feel that this will not be the case in other companies. Any t

Hi There! I'm glad my blog is finally being noticed by management! Hahaha! Kidding aside, If you took yourself to an Operations Manager position in a very competitive world of the callcenter, then YOU must be really VERY GOOD! I admire people like you who did not let their educational attainment hinder their goals in life and strive to be better than hat other people perceive they are able to do.

If you have at least 2 years of experience as callcenter OM, then you definitely would want to give Wachovia a shot! Or for any other company that will be establishing here. With the current shortage of capable middle managers in the philippine callcenter, you are definitely somebody who is worth looking at in a recruiter's standpoint.

Although, CallCenterVet advices when if you get the chance to get interviewed, DO NOT let the conversation revolve around your educational background. Be very brief about it and let them know you never regretted not finishing a 4 year course because you have achieved so much in your career and very proud of it. Second advice, focus on what you can offer Wachovia. You can discuss your values, competencies and level of callcenter responsibilities. Third advice is simple, apply at Wachovia. :D

During the interview, you need to discuss the underlying issues first to sort of "get it out of the way". I have discussed these previously in a post in PEX. I hope you can find it in the CallCenter Application 101 thread. You can also Google: job interview skeletons. The yahoo hot jobs also gives you relevant interview tips.

I was hoping I can send you the contact information for Wachovia, but you didn't leave me your email address. Anyways, with you being an OM and all, I'm pretty sure you know some people who can get you there already. Cheers! :D

You're not from Convergys by any chance, are you? Hehehe!

Thank you for the encouraging words. You are right, it was not easy for me getting up the corporate ladder. I always had to strive harder than everyone else and prove that I can be just as good or even better than my peers who all have strong educational backgrounds. I do have over 2 years of OM experience and will definitely give Wachovia a shot, my email address is alain776@hotmail.com. To answer your question, I am not from Convergys, my office is right across theirs haha ;) Thanks for the advice!

I'll email you the details for First source and Wachovia now. Goodluck! Try contacting Viventis.cc in Ortigas . They do a great job referring Managers to top level callcenter companies.

Hope you encourage more people to visit my blog!

Thanks!

hi.... i would like to ask you CallCenterVet this question:

would it be ok to apply if i came from a financial account as well?(which is from the US? eg: JPMC or Citibank)

Thanks!

I think it would definitely be an edge if you came from a financial account similar to wachovia. JPM and citi or even HSBC are very similar to Wachovia. I think next year we'll see wachovia take off in the Phils.
