According to a news article from a leading news journal for Asia, Sutherland Global Services is one of 3 big name Outsourcing companies that will set up shop in Davao in the near future. It would most probably be housed within the PEZA accredited Damosa IT Park in Lanang. Good news for Davao people especially experienced call center agents from Davao. Bad news for 5 existing call centers in Davao. G-Com Ltd. and Link 2 Support to name a couple.
According to Davao City Chamber of Commerce chairman Andre Fournier, they are trying to formulate a memorandum of agreement which would promote equitable distribution of call center agents to prevent similar occurrences in Davao.

sutherland is an indian owned company. they dole out 6,500 for newbies plus another 1k for experienced for 1 yr or more. they dole out more for allowances that would add up to 4k. and they're not supporters of employee retention. they kick you out as soon as you can't deliver results. no account transfers or anything just to retain an employee. Western Wats Davao, an American-owned co, 10k basic pay, plus 1.500 once regularized which is most likely cos constant coaching and QA evals are conducted almost everyday so you can keep track of which to improve or has improved. open culture, no dickhead supes or team lead to boss you around, everyone has equal footing and everyone is a team player. everyone helps out each other. Western Wats is starting out and still needs a lot of work that's why they all need all the agents, program managers, QA's, and team leads. hope that Western Wats would do great hear in davao and i know it would! =)
