Call Center Funnies: Buloy - The Amazing Video

I picked up this amazing video while I was browsing some multiply blogs. This is a rendition of "Buloy" by an American dude that goes by the name of xxthundrrbltxx in youtube.

This is a tribute to Americans who have grown to love the Philippines and the Filipinos. Some of them may have had a great customer experience with one of us Filipino customer service professionals. A select few of them may have came here to share to us their knowledge about their work and grown to love our way of life and made friends along the way.

This guy singing in the video is amazing! We really don't know if he's one of those I mentioned above but by the way he sang Buloy, I felt he really had put a lot of effort in learning the words and proper pronunciation (even if he didn't get everything right :D). His uploaded video in youtube has earned praises and has about 43 comments so far.

Please watch him and feel free to comment here --> http://youtube.com/watch?v=yW4ADfmq04g

great blog - I have query for all readers of this blog

I am doing research (for building a UI) on the persona of a typical "call center agent"; here are some questions that I have ...

The relationship of the persona to the machine/screen/UI …

- How do they do with a mouse?

- How comfortable are they with typing?

- Most importantly: What kind of learning style do they have --- by doing, by conversing with the person in the next cube, by being guided thru tasks,

- do personas expectations of the system/UI differ when dealing with different types of issues, namely: transactional (typically retail) vs. break/fix (typically high-tech) vs. service (typically telco).

- do personas expectations of the system/UI differ when dealing with various levels of complexity or lifespan of the service issue: that is, complex (lasts days) versus moderate (lasts a few hours) to simple (lasts less than 10 minutes)

- to what degree will these personas welcome a pro-active, Task driven and suggestive (guided) nature of the UI

- To what degree are they mouse-oriented, typing-oriented, color-oriented, etc.?

- What makes an interface enjoyable and usable for these folks: are lots of choices, fun?

- Do they need or want to re-trace their steps?
