Call center survey - What's the worst call center

It's time to conduct a little survey on who's the worst one around! hehe... The purpose of this short data gathering is not to put down anybody but rather bring the feedback online.

So many people online have been searching for the "worst call center in the Philippines" which probably shows people are starting to look at feedback from other people regarding which call centers provide well to their employees and who are or who have been the butt of complains based on former and present employee feedback.

I have been reading on a lot of complaints from call center employees in their forum at pinoyexchange.com and taking queue from my reading, it looks like the top are West Contact Services, Sutherland, and Teletech so let's include them on the selection. Please feel free to make a comment here if your choice is not on the survey on the list. It would also help if you can elaborate your experience about the company to help others be informed. Links about articles written on a call center company is encouraged. The survey may be moved on the sidebar on a later date.

hi, i am from west contact services and this is by far NOT the worst call center. the comments in pinoy exchange are so outdated, personal and do not represent the organization as a whole. The best thing about this company, as in the best, is that you get your pay every 2 weeks, on a friday. It's doesn't fail. If there's a problem with the bank, payroll will work personally with the bank to ensure that the employees get their salary, cash and on time. This is something I doubt I can say for other companies. We have a web program where agents can get extra hours if they want to, or post their own schedules to be offered to anyone who is willing to work those hours, because the original agent has something else to do. Ofcourse, these has boundaries. Any other negative comment about West will be mostly directed to leads or managers who can not always please all the agents. I am sure this happens to other centers too. Our agents can earn as much as 10k to 20k per pay out(10days worth), incentives not included. 24/F Exportbank Tower, Buendia, check out the office -- it's pretty nice.

Nothing bears the hellish work life TelePerformance has. To be specific is their Sprint account.

It's nice to hear a nice feedback for a change for West. I thought the people at PEX had all the say in this. But I think the most vocal people are those who feel oppressed. I think the should be a site that would promote West's better side.

India needs a survey on worst call centres. I have a nomination: OneSource now called Firstsource. They're terrible. Can't keep employees happy. And it's the apathy & the crooked ness of their senior management that is to blame. They're badly in need of a hostile takeover that sets right everyone above GM level!

Dai,i think ur taking ur job too personal. I personaly know chard,but i don't know how he works. Sa totoo lng,JPMC in cebu use to do very well til new batches came. Im from the 2nd wave by the way, the very 1st one who left the wave. Laht cla anjan pa,wlang nag-resign & most of all wlang na-terminate lyk other waves. Chard was a very gud QA,i jz dunno wen it comes to supervising. So,kng may reklamo ka dai ipadangat na s hingtungdan,ok?

*** im from JPMC PS Cebu and i cant say anything bad about that account. we get paid handsomely and cx's are not irates at all! really wonderful account! regretted i resigned! hehehe well, you guys havent heard anything about the worst call centers! hehehe the call centers in Davao City are way wicked! they pay you 100/day! wont sign you up if you dont deliver the stats! ya'll still lucky you get paid that well! cant wait to get back to cebu!

I'm with no doubt that the worst call center to date in Cebu is Cebu Global Teleservices Inc. located at Mango Square Mall.

So many unlawful salary desputes not given. As in! things got really worst when we had the new site director Luciano Castro. This man does not deserve the position! I dont even think he knows what he is doing!! No one learned from him better than "how to catch dress code violators".

He is basically useless and unjust like his boss.

He DOES NOT CARE!! at all...he's probably thinking that we Filipinos are as dumb and as unprofessional as him.. NO WAY JOSE! You know better.

I feel sorry for all the present, past and future employees of this call center..one honest advice-- GET OUT OF THERE WHILE YOU STILL CAN!

Well, as a matter of fact we do dare include Sutherland in this worst list. Currently on the survey , eight people have agreed and voted sutherland so I guess it brings bearing to include. As for your nasty comment, I guess it speaks well on what kind of person you are.

New Delhi based Call Center, vcustomer. It is the worst call center. You are made to take calls like fools with no hike in salary, people get promotion basis the buttering they do. very bad place...nobody takes care of the employee so how can it be no. 1 then:-)

Wow! This is really nice, doing this survey really helps those other people who are thinking of going into that kind of industry. Sometimes we just can't avoid other people for defending the company they worked for because normally it is not the company itself that is "worst" however, it is due to the people in the management positions, no offense intended for all, but let's face it every one of us is considered unique so basically we handled cases or issues differently based on what we know...So, I guess it is also better for the companies to reach out or do some kinda of survey as well so that they can maintain a good working environment and their employees won't be demoralized. :)

haaay sad to say etelecare alabang is getting worst...

you can't file the leaves that you wanted and hell there's no sick leaves. only those upper people there are the one who have the priveledge.
no accurate payroll details.
you file for a leave then they will deduct the day that your on leave to your salary???

...worst call center in CEBU is no other than CEBU GLOBAL...to the HIGHEST LEVEL...!!!!to all of you guys,, f u want to mess up ur life, go to CEBU GLOBAL and experience the worst that you cud ever imagine!!!.-SUPPORT- great!!they are getting the ryt salary wyl the reps r suffering from not getting the ryt amnt that they shud b gtting..some SUPPORT,its great climbing up wen we are not stepping other people...ryt!!!??ryt!!!??

I didn't want to speak ill of any company that I've worked before... This serves as a warning to all the people out there who wishes to start a call center life ... never work for TELETECH it will ruin your life...

they accept you with a blink of an eye even if you were previously working from another call center because they need people due to the high attrition rate but if you leave the company for any reason, your call center career is completely gone for 1 whole year from the date you leave them. you can not work for any other call center in the Philippines for 1 year that's in their contract. that's how bad they are.

Attrition rate is high because the company does not know how to take care of their employees. allowances are low, they don't even give their employees hazard pay/transportation allowance unlike other call center and coffee is not for free.

don't be deceived by their adds don't work for TELETECH they will make your life miserable

I was with Convergys, Alabang working the Sprint account. I was one of the pioneers. The company wasn't bad but the account was. Almost every month they switch to a different metric as a priority that's why alot of the reps were getting confused and pissed. Hats off to the company, I enjoyed my 4 years there.

The Worst Call Center - West Contact Services!! Here are the reasons why...

1. The management doesn't care about their employees so the employees doesn't care about their customers too that's why the clients, comes and goes.
2. PIN's are flying everywhere and manager's are not trained to motivate agents positively.
3. People get promoted not because of their impressive stats but because they were recommended by a friend from the higher management.
4. No free coffee and much worst is that you have to use a headset worn by everyone!!
5. When an account is about to close, the management team will terminate people as many as they can, to avoid paying severance pay. So even the slightest mistake or misbehavior is an opportunity to throw people out.
6. Team Leaders are nowhere to be found when you have a sup call.
7. In tech support, your greatness will be measured by the number of calls that you made and not by the number of issues that you resolved. Agents are force to get rid of the customer as fast as they can whether issue is resolved or not. Maybe bacause the clients pay by number of answered calls but this compromises customer satisfaction. Therefore, Low CSAT = Unsatisfied Clients = Business lost.

what about convergys in moore, oklhanoma? they are shills for directv and have quality and call handle time goals that are nearly impossible for most workers there to meet. I know this because they are always griping at us about them. Most workers there solve the customers problems and leave then satisfied most of the time but management isn't satisfied until they pick the calls apart and declare then bad over trivial stuff. oh and one time management kept people on the phones during a tornado.

Worst has to be the one i worked for a year at its in sioux falls south dakota its a third party call center that only deals with the most grease ball companies like CheckNGO and ZeroWater. Ill tell you what for poor treatment of employees they have it for job security i think your better off testing drugs. And if you want the to talk to somebody who has had less than twenty mintues of training your in luck call'em youll laugh.

If you really want to know the worst call center!!! I will vote Global 9 Inc. They are located in lapanday center in pasong tamo ext. This Company selling an out of technology products, to the US, and their victims are our very own Balik Bayan Filipinos, the are selling Pre-paid long distance phone card that only work once. The most worst of it is the owner of this company is a very greedy person. employee there work there for only 150php a day. and some of them are a commision base only. I hope you will vote this company as the worst call center in our country I hope this company will close so that they will stop cheating our fellow filipino in other country

you wanna know the worst call center of all time? its ePacific Global Contact Centre (One Global Contact Centre na yata ngayon) in ortigas. its like hell when you're in the office.

I have never posted a comment on any blog in my whole life but have always loved reading.. I find this issue to be very interesting so here's what I can say.. Almost all call centers I have worked for and heard from my friends has flaws.. Even when the company is trying their best to be very accommodating to their agents/employees, they would still be the worst in the eyes of their employees.. While reading the comments, flashes in my mind came, and started to realize that people can't just be satisfied.. We never looked back at the time that the call center industry is not in the Philippines and thousands and thousands of us are unemployed.. During that time, we beg for job to earn for a living, and now that the opportunity came, we hated them and started loathing the companies we are working for or have worked for.. I don't work for any call center right now nor know anyone from their management, I left the industry because I was diagnosed with RHD (Rheumatic Heart Disease).. If only I don't have this, I would still be working for a call center, to be able to share whatever earning I would have to my family.. As I once heard when I was younger, it is in our human nature to whine about everything.. Put yourself in the position of anyone from the management and try to think of what you can do for the company.. Just try to imagine, if what they are doing is easy.. It's not true that when you become someone on the top that your life gets easier, trust me, when you get there, your life gets worst and more stressful.. :-)

Reasons:
1. All accounts are scam
2. They dont pay good to their employees
3. No free coffee
4. They keep on firing employees in no reason
5. HR officer shows favoritism to some of his agents that he likes.

i think the WORST call center here is WEST COntact SERVICES, i've been with teleperformance handling sprint, ok naman po wala me naging prob and we used to get commisions pa on top of our salary which is nice, nagkaron lang po ng prob sa salary when they implemented a new system called CCMS last 2008, since bago pa yung program that time ciempre di pa cia mashadong perfect and dami pa bugs so dun na nagsimula ng disputes sa salary since bine-based yung pay sa CCMS but the company did their best naman to fix it and resolved all the salary disputes of their employees, i'm satisfied with my stay in teleperformance for 2yrs and when i left i was very happy sa backpay na nakuha ko.Ü

after i left teleperformance i worked in TELETECH, ok sana except sobrang higpit nila unlike sa tp na sobrang lenient, here you really have to work hard and make sure you hit your metrics or else...gudbye teletech ka na! and one more thing, recently lang sa account where im in, the company is downsizing, they laid off some employees especially those who are not yet regularized or under probationary kc wala pang 6mos. reason nila is because of global recession, d po me na lay off nagresign me teletech for some reasons...Ü

after i left teletech apply me WEST CONTACT SERVICES last june 17, 2009 and signed my job offer june 18, 2009. yup its true na mataas offer dito, they offered me 22k basic plus 3.5k non taxable allowance for the TSR position. kahit marami nakong naririnig na negative comments about west try kopa din sabi kopa non baka kc mejo bitter lang yung ibang nag cocomment sa PEX until....

june 29, 2009 was supposed to be the first day of our training, nag pass nako ng mga requirements and nagpamedical, ready nako for the training, then 2days before our training naka receive me ng text from west saying that the training will be delayed and its clients decision daw. wait nalang daw kame for the next sched of training. ok payn! lumipas and isa, dalawang linggo...walang balita sa west, nako pano ba toh eh nakalagay sa contract na pinirmahan ko we can't be engaged daw to any other call center so di ako pede apply sa iba but i need to work na coz bills keep coming!, so i called west, the girl from hr told me wala paraw definite sched, sabi ko it seems me prob kau sa account na yon, is it possible na ilipat nio nalang me ng account if the prob with the client cannot be resolved? say ng girl cge daw but they don't have openings for tsr anymore so kung gusto ko csr nalang daw, instead of the 22k basic magiging 16.5k nalang (ang laki ng difference ah!)... mejo malaki parin so go parin me, so the hr girl scheduled me for another interview with one of the TL sa new account na yon, eto nakakaloka, walang nakahandang contract after the interview sabi they will call us nalang daw for the sched of the training which is on july 20 (today), july 18 im worried na kc wala pang tumatawag so i called west again, asking if kasali bako sa training for july 20 and wat's the sched, and guess wat sabi saken ng gurl from HR???
"we can't transfer you to a csr account because on your contract you were hired as TSR and all the slots for the training on july 20 is already full, just wait for the next sched of your training probably on the last week of august"

ano raw? eh baket pina interview nio pako sa TL ng account na yon kung di pala us pedeng lumipat? and wait until the last week of august? Since i cant wait kc nga bills keep coming every month apply me sa iba, now im with convergys and dont want to think about west anymore, sobrang nagsayang me ng effort, pamasahe and time jan sa west na yan! hindi pako nagwowork sa west me ganong issue na kagad how much more kung nagstart nako? so guys you decide... nasa akin parin yung job offer/contract ko sa west so i can prove na totoo experience ko.Ü

para sa akin.. ang CEBU GLOBAL TELESERVICES...

reasons:
1.maliit lng ang salary. marami pang deductions.
2.lahat ng accounts are scam..
3.They facility or Workstation SUCKS!!..
4.The agents are gonna pay for the HEADSET.
5.May Break ROom pa cla pero ang dumi. maraming "KUTING". mga insekto na nangangagat.
