Survey question: Which is the worst call center in the Philippines?

Yesterday, was the end of theover-a-monthlong call center survey I started and I found some interesting observations with it. First let me thank all of those who participated. The feedback the survey got will definitely inspire more survey in the near future. It was amusing to find people giving their honest opinions about their selected thumb's-down. We also got some flaming from a couple of people who were upset that their call center was included. I'd have to say this was the more amusing part. A couple of readers even found this blog as a venue to argue about someone or something. You can read about all the funny call center comments here.
My observations:
1. It looks like Teletech seems to get the same amount of votes as with the rest of the other call centers not included in the list. No one really gave a specific comment about what's not-so-good about Teletech so please leave a comment here on if you've been from Teletech or much better if you're currently working for them so people can get an updated observation.
2. The rest of the choices aren't too far away either. West gets 7 and Sutherland 9 which I think shows that we've made the correct choice of listing these in the call center survey. I drew these choices based on the observed feedback from one of the more popular Filipino forums online.
3. It was a good thing there was a good sould that provided positive feedback for West Contact Services. I just wished all rest could have provided some good points as well.
Lesson learned: We should all remember that like humans, call centers intrinsically good-natured. No company should be in business just to dupe their employees or customers. Most importantly and take it from me, sticking with your company for longer than you should would always be better. Unless they want you out ofcourse. :D

I believe TeleTech deserves the no. 1 spot. I am currently employed there and would like to leave as soon as an offer comes in. The reasons:
a. We pay for dressing down to "fund" teletech's projects i.e. outreach programs, internal awarding for employees, etc. and all credit goes to Teletech management (who by the way did not even contribute a single centavo and throw in photo ops for high ranking employees)
b. Performance managing people instead of root causing behavior.
c. promoting people who are incompetent (now shows their incompetence as the programs they run are failing)
d. No funds for employee retention and employee recognition (we'd have to dress down in order to get funds for such)
e. Not firing people who have been removed instead promoting them.
f. does not promote employees to regular positions instead gives out interim positions w/o salary increase.
g. ect. etc. etc.....
Anonymous said... < are you from cainta site? I used to work for Teletech as well,*cainta DC* handling At&t account. I strongly agree w/ the previous comment about Teletech. I left the company 3 months ago and I'm now working w/ 247 customer where most Teletech employees xfered, which is a whole lot better compared to Teletech.

teletech cainta final interviewr: "oh, if you're asking price is 17 and a definite no to anything lower than 15t, you have nothing to worry coz am assigning u to a flagship account coz xxxx will be too easy for you and that means you're gonna get higher than ur asking price." with a big smile.
training days came, reality surfaced: basic is 13500.30% night diff if you get lucky to be assigned there which is rotating every 3 months at most,no bonuses for probies,no contract signing bonus,no metrics bonuses,no attendance bonus, NOTHING NOTHING UNBELIEVABLY NOTHING BUT BASIC ON YOUR FIRST 6 MONTHS!NOT EVEN HEALTHCARD! I just got to the floor, now checking again job sites.dang.
TELETECH IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY...

It takes two to tango - yes, you can join RAVE but does that entitle you to disregard your other responsibilities which you are being paid for?
No one can force someone to do something they do not want to do.
Before backbiting people, make sure your sources are accurate.
Honestly, I don't know where these 2 previous comments came from but it does seem like something just hit a sensitive cord...

i came from cainta dc as well, teletech is indeed losser! all the comments against teletech have basis because i am currently employed with them, i am just trying to find a good opportunity to leave. the points laid out in the comments are completely fair and accurate. i am an attendee of CREST, award giving body for teletech, i am an acheiver but i get nothing aside from a cheap invitation. what i am actually expecting is a bonus check.....kahit gaano mo matulungan ang account it doesnt make any difference, they do not know how to appreciate their agents good performance. count me in for teletech as one of the worst call center....
If you want to leave, then leave. Stop talking shit about the company.
At the end of that day, what really matters is what you want and what will make you happy. The rest are just distractions.
To whoever is getting mad becuase of all the facts stated here about teletech, maybe you should check out the topic before leaving a comment. This is for the worst call center and the author specifically wanted reason why it should be one of the worst call center.
If you're a loyalist and doesn't want to see any bad reviews about your company, then DON'T read these comments.
hi guys. i applied for teletech cainta. luckily, i passed all the exams that they gave me. anyway, is it true that teletech cainta has problems with their hiring because they have changed their client for accenture? they told me that i was to be endorsed at accenture account, but i have to wait for their call . it's been 2 months now but i haven't received a call from them. i hope they can call me right away.
