It's a Sunday guys and I felt it's time to take a day off from call center blogging and pay attention to the growing number of call center bloggers. I'm so pleased that our call center peeps are beginning to embrace this cool hobby. I usually find call center blogs through email alerts I have set-up and some I found while analyzing this blog's traffic sources.
I am honored to mention a few of these call center blogs I admire for one reason or another. Some I've come to love because of the honesty of the author, some because of the author's effort and creativity in putting together a unique design but most interestingly I love all of them because it gives me a sneak peek of what the call center author's life is. Blogging is not necessarily about making money. Most of the time, it's just nice to put an online journal where you can look back and read about the awesome times you've had in the past. Check out my quotable call center blogs here:
And I defied the Gods... - A nice journal slash poetry blog. I was impressed by the author's creativity. An honest scribble of the author's feelings and daily life. Love the pictures.
Call Center Guy - I found about the call center guy through an email alert I have set-up. It's a simple personal blog of a former West Contact Services employee. Very insightful reads and simple blog design are the things that attracted me to come back every now and then to the Call Center Guy.
Manong Calbo's blog - A nice journal of a Pasig call center employee whose main blog focus is on life outside his call center life. It's perfect read for those who love reading about what I call center employee's life outside his work is. Personally, I love this type of blog because it's kinda hard to talk about work all the time as most call center peeps would agree.
Callwork Comics - Hazel is one of the first blog friends I've ever had online. She presents a cool comedic perspective to everyday call center situations. I love visiting Hazel's blog because of her original call center comic strips. I believe she is the one and only who does this type of blogging in the Philippines. If you'd like to get a few laughs while working, Hazel's blog is worth the read!
Carpe diem - Is also one of the first blog friends I had online. His blog is more similar like my own blog. It focuses also on making money by blogging. If you want to find out how we do it, Carpe diem is a good start. Full of call center stories and making money online experiences.
Peeps, these are just five of many of us Filipino call center bloggers out there. I'm doing a series of these reviews to praise them for their awesome blogs despite of their schedules. It's tough enough working in a call center environment but to find time to blog is really commendable.

Hello... I've been looking at your blog and I am impressed with the creativity that you invested on it. I also like the way you put words together. You see I am just learning the ropes and just seeing outstanding blogs like yours helps inspire me a lot. I'm just wondering if you can spare a little time to help me out. I am totally clueless on this blogging thing. Not that I'm trying to ask you an undeserved favor. I'm just desperate to learn. I have put up a modest blog myself which is expectedly crude and pedestrian and it will do me a great big favor if you just take a look at it and let me know what you think. I will value your expert opinion. My blogsite is this: www.hangingonahyphen.blogspot.com Thank you.
Thanks for the comment and generous praises HOAH. This blog has been a labor of several months of continuous learning and reading and I do admire your desire to learn more. I started with the same enthusiasm back then.
I've taken a look at your blog and here's a few things I wish to share with you. I hope you take them in a constructive way.
1. I noticed you're probably using a default blogger template which is just fine but if you want more choices in templates, I suggest you check out eblogtemplates.com. They have a wide variety of cool designs you might be interested.
2. You might want to shorten the page by limiting the number of posts on the homepage. That could be done in your blogger settings. Reading a long page might be a little overwhelming for your visitors.
3. I love your versatility in composing your pieces. Each author has their own writings style however, you might also want to think about what your readers would want to see and read. If this is a personal blog, then you don't have to worry about anything. You're doing fine.
4. Keep your sidebars filled with interesting stuff. Maybe links, your personal interests. Anything that you think would provide value for your readers.
Your blog is pretty new so all I could comment for now are the ones I've given above. By the way you do your writings, I believe you can be consistent and be an awesome blogger too!
Keeping blogging and keep it going! Thanks again for the comment.
Don't forget to watch My Fake American Accent at the Cinemalaya!
Thanks for the comment! :D
Talking about office stuff is boring and crazy. There's more to life than office work. lol :)
Thanks for the kind words about my site. Keep it up! :)
